E8 Markets and Bulenox in brief

E8 Markets

E8 Signature (Futures) is a one-step evaluation whose "Dynamic" drawdown trails at end of day and locks at the starting balance once closed profit equals the drawdown, with no daily loss limit or consistency rule in the evaluation. E8 Zero Starter and Zero Max trail at end of day without locking during the challenge and have a 40% best-day rule that raises the target. Tradovate only.

Bulenox

A Qualification account in two options. Option 1 trails intraday with no daily loss limit; Option 2 trails at end of day with a soft daily loss limit that pauses the day. Rithmic only. One-time fee, 30 days of access.

How these rules play out

Bulenox's Option 1 plan trails the drawdown intraday: the floor follows the highest balance the account reaches during the session, open profit included, and never moves back down — a winning trade given back before it is closed still lifts it. For example, at Bulenox's Option 1 plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.

On E8 Markets and Bulenox's Option 2 plan the drawdown trails at end of day: the floor is recalculated once, from the closing balance, so open profit given back during the session does not raise it — but equity touching the floor during the session still counts. For example, at E8 Markets a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $48,000, $2,000 under the start; at Bulenox's Option 2 plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.

On E8 Markets' E8 Signature plan the trailing floor stops rising once it reaches breakeven and stays there. On E8 Markets' E8 Zero Starter and E8 Zero Max plans it keeps trailing for the whole evaluation.

A soft daily loss limit pauses the day instead of failing the account: reach it and open positions are flattened, trading stops until the next session, and the account stays open. Bulenox's Option 2 plan sets it at $1,100 on $50,000. E8 Markets and Bulenox's Option 1 plan have no daily loss limit, so a losing day is bounded only by the max drawdown.

Bulenox starts the trading day at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT); a daily loss limit counts from that reset, not from midnight.

A consistency rule caps how much of the total profit one day may carry. E8 Markets' E8 Zero Starter and E8 Zero Max plans cap any single day at 40% of total profit, so it takes at least 3 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $1,200 of a $3,000 target. E8 Markets' E8 Signature plan and Bulenox apply no consistency rule in the evaluation, so one large day can count in full.

E8 Markets and Bulenox set no minimum number of days.

Choosing between E8 Markets and Bulenox

E8 Markets and Bulenox differ on 4 of the evaluation rules compared here: drawdown model, daily loss limit, consistency rule and max drawdown at $50K. If your trades often run into open profit that you give back before closing them, start with the drawdown: E8 Markets trails at end of day, while Bulenox trails intraday or at end of day, depending on the plan. If one or two large days make up most of your profit, the consistency rule sets how fast you can finish: E8 Markets caps one day at 40% of total profit on some plans and has no cap on others; Bulenox has no consistency rule. If you keep trading after a losing morning, look at what the daily loss limit does: E8 Markets has no daily loss limit; Bulenox pauses the day at its daily loss limit on some plans and has no limit on others. In dollars at $50K, E8 Markets asks for $3,000 of profit with $2,000 of drawdown room, Bulenox for $3,000 with $2,500.

Once funded, the profit split is 80/20 at E8 Markets and 100% of the first $10K, then 90/10 at Bulenox. Payout terms — E8 Markets: On demand (5 profitable days between payouts; max 4 per Signature account); Bulenox: Weekly (Wednesdays). E8 Markets sells 3 plans: E8 Signature, E8 Zero Starter and E8 Zero Max; Bulenox sells 2 plans: Option 1 and Option 2. Each plan carries its own version of the rules above, which is why they are listed plan by plan.
