Our mission
Why PassTraq exists
Most prop-firm challenges are not lost to a bad strategy. They are lost to a rule the trader didn't see in time: a trailing drawdown that moved with open profit, a daily loss limit three trades away, a best day that grew into too large a share of the profit.
PassTraq exists to put those rules in front of you while there is still time to act, and to help you build the discipline that keeps an account alive, from the first trade of an evaluation to the payout.
Who PassTraq is for
PassTraq is for futures traders working through prop-firm evaluations and funded accounts, and for traders on their own futures broker account. You might scalp, day trade or hold positions longer; either way, PassTraq works from your own broker account and your own market data.
The lifecycle, in one sentenceOne place for the whole life of a prop account: plan the day, trade it, stay inside the rules, review it, learn from it, and document the payout. It is built on your own broker data and your own AI.
1Plan, stop 1 of 6
Plan, test and automate: backtest a strategy against a firm's rulebook
Plan, test and automate covers strategies and automation, on Pro and up. Backtests run on your own feed's history and never touch an account, and automation never sends an order to a live account.
More about the strategies and automation
Pro and up
- Strategies. Build one, backtest it on your own data, and walk it through a firm's rulebook to see where it would pass and which rule would end it.
- Automation runs as signals, as staged orders you send yourself, or on sim. A kill switch flattens only what automation opened.
Prop Eval Lab. Would a strategy pass a firm's evaluation? Its backtest walked through the firm's rules day by day, with pass odds resampled from the same trades and the sample beside every number — withheld under 10 trades, and never a forecast.
Free, no account needed. Eval Autopsy replays a broker trade export through every firm's evaluation rules in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.

Trade: a futures trading platform for prop firm accounts, in your browser
PassTraq's trading platform runs in your browser on your own broker login, through Rithmic: charts, a click-to-trade DOM and an order ticket with brackets held at your broker. It is in beta on Trader and up, and every order is a click.

- Your own broker login, through Rithmic. Apex Trader Funding and AMP Futures are connected today, and 14 more prop firms are in beta. PassTraq does not sell market data: your charts show your own feed, and when the market is quiet, your chart is quiet.
- Sim and live. Practise on sim accounts on every paid plan. Live order routing is a beta on the Quant plan, switched on only after you accept an explicit live-trading acknowledgement.
- Copy trading. Copy trades from one evaluation account to your others, with each account protected separately.
- Every order is a click. No keyboard shortcut places an order, and no AI can.

Stay inside your firm's rules: a prop firm rules tracker for daily loss, trailing drawdown and consistency
PassTraq tracks your prop firm's rules from your trades: the daily loss limit, the trailing drawdown (intraday or end of day), the profit target, the consistency rule and minimum days, with presets for 23 firms. The rules dashboard is on Starter; the Rules HUD, Guardian and alerts are on Trader and up.
More about the prop firm rules tracker
Starter
- Rulebooks for 23 prop firms, down to each account size: daily loss, trailing drawdown (intraday or end of day), profit target, consistency rule and minimum days. Any other firm works as a custom firm with your own numbers.
- Your broker's numbers. With your account connected on a paid plan, balance and drawdown come straight from your broker, labelled with where and when they came from. Anything worked out from your trades says so.
- The Rules HUD shows the room you have left on every screen, with a word at each level: CAUTION at 50%, DANGER at 70%, STOP at 90%.
- Guardian lets you set your own limits, stricter than the firm's. It refuses an order that would break them, and never blocks an exit, a flatten or a cancel.
- Alerts and triggers on price levels and on your drawings, while PassTraq is open, plus staged orders that wait for your two clicks.
The level words
Every firm's rules by account size on Prop firm rules, any two side by side on Compare prop firms, all 23 presets below. Try the floor yourself in the Trailing Drawdown Simulator and the Consistency Rule Calculator.
The rule words, defined
- Trailing drawdown
- A loss floor that follows your peak balance instead of staying where it started. Under intraday trailing, open profit counts: a runner ridden back to breakeven has already raised the floor, so an ordinary pullback can land below it. Under end-of-day trailing, only your closing balance moves it.
- Intraday trailing drawdown
- The floor rises with your highest balance during the day, open profit included — a runner ridden back to breakeven has already raised it.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown
- The floor moves only with your closing balance, so open profit during the day does not raise it.
- Daily loss limit
- Two stops, then a third trade to win it back. One bad hour ends the day, and under some firms' rules it ends the account. It resets each day at the time your firm sets.
- Consistency rule
- No single day may be too large a share of your profit. A losing day makes your best day a bigger share, so the rule can move against you without a winning trade.
- Prop firm evaluation
- The challenge a prop firm sets before funding an account: reach a profit target without breaking the daily loss limit, the drawdown or the consistency rule.
- Trading day roll (17:00 CT)
- PassTraq's trading day rolls at 17:00 CT, when your rules are graded and the day's numbers close.
- Tick value
- The dollars one minimum price move is worth on one contract: $12.50 on ES, $0.50 on MNQ.
- Front month
- The contract month carrying the liquidity — the one charts and orders use until it rolls to the next month in the cycle.

Journal and review: a futures trading journal graded on your rules, never on money made
PassTraq is a futures trading journal where trades come in automatically, synced from your broker or imported from six platforms, and every trading day is graded at 17:00 CT on the rules you set for yourself, never on money made. The journal is on every plan, Starter included.
More about the trading journal
StarterReports: Trader and upReplay: Pro and up
- Trades come in automatically. They sync from your broker, or import from Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, MetaTrader, TradeStation and TopstepX.
- A daily journal with a pre-market plan and a post-session review, plus playbooks with rule checklists, ratings, tags and mistakes.
- Every trading day is graded at 17:00 CT on the rules you set for yourself, never on money made.
- Analytics by setup, time of day and day of week. Ask questions about your trades and get answers with the sample size beside each result.
- Trade replay, bar by bar, from your own broker's history.

- Review written before the reset
Rules kept, never money made. CSV import detects Tradovate, Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, MetaTrader 4/5, TradeStation, TopstepX from the header; export is on every plan.

Built on your own AI, the lane beside every stop
Use your own AI: your Claude, connected to your trading journal
PassTraq runs no AI model of its own. On Trader and up you connect your own Claude, or any app that supports MCP, without an API key; it reads your rules and trades and writes your daily brief, and it can't place, change or cancel an order.
More about the ai trading assistant
Trader and up
- Connect your own Claude, or any app that supports MCP, without an API key.
- What it can do: read your rules and trades, write your daily brief and trade reviews, draw levels for you to accept, and walk you through the platform.
- What it can't do: place, change or cancel an order.
Finia is your own Claude, connected to PassTraq over the hosted MCP connector on Trader and up; it thinks on your Claude subscription, and PassTraq sends your data to no AI provider of its own.
The PassTraq MCP connector
Connect your own Claude — or any app that speaks MCP — to PassTraq by pasting one address and signing in. No API key, and the AI runs on your own subscription.
- Copy the address
https://passtraq.com/mcp - Add it to your AI app
In Claude (web or desktop), open Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http passtraq https://passtraq.com/mcpThen /mcp → Authenticate.
- Sign in and allow
Sign in to PassTraq and pick what the app may do, on which accounts and for how long — 7, 30 or 90 days. Read is always on; staging orders stays off unless you tick it.

- Guide10 toolsOn by defaultOpen pages and panels, point your chart at a symbol and show you where things are, in your open tab while you watch. Never an order button, billing, credentials or an account switch.
- Guardian1 toolOn by defaultThe Coach proposes a Guardian lock for one account, with the evidence from your trades. Nothing changes until you apply it in two clicks.
- Stage1 toolOff until you tick itAn order you ask for waits in PassTraq for YOUR two clicks — it never sends one. Asks you first every time; a lock, the kill switch or Guardian refuses it. Off unless you tick it.
A connected app can never place, change or cancel an order — PassTraq's order routes refuse its tokens. The most it can do is stage an order you asked for, which only your two clicks send.
There is no API key to create or paste: sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, and the AI does its thinking on your own subscription. At sign-in you pick the accounts it may read — an account you leave out gets none of its numbers, trades or rules — and when the connection expires: 7, 30 or 90 days. Renewing it needs you. Connecting needs a paid plan (Trader and up); Starter accounts are shown the plans instead. Settings → API & MCP lists every connected app, with Disconnect beside each one. Any app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in can connect; apps other than Claude are shown as unverified on the consent screen.
6Document the payout, stop 6 of 6
Get paid: payout readiness, a printable report and a challenge ledger
Before you request a payout, PassTraq checks readiness against your firm's payout terms, gives you a printable payout report, and keeps a ledger of what each challenge cost against what it paid, on every plan, Starter included.
Starter
- Payout readiness checked against your firm's payout terms.
- A printable payout report.
- A ledger of what each challenge cost against what it paid.
Before you request, check your best-day share: the Consistency Rule Calculator works out how large one day can be against the rest of your profit, and the Days to Pass Planner turns a daily average into trading days against the target and the minimum days.
What we stand for
Five principles, kept at every stop
The broker's numbers come first.
What your broker reports is what you see, with its source and time.
Only real market data.
Nothing on a chart or in the DOM is filled in or made up.
You stay in control.
Every order is yours, by click. Our limits never block an exit.
No guessing.
When a value is unknown, PassTraq shows "—" instead of inventing one.
Free where it matters.
Starter is free forever: one account, the full journal, the rules dashboard, CSV import and payout documents. No card, no trial.
PassTraq can't pass a challenge for you, and it guarantees nothing. It makes the rules, the room you have left and your own patterns visible, so the part of passing that is yours to control is always in front of you.

Questions
Prop firm trading journal questions
Who is PassTraq for?
PassTraq is for futures traders working through prop-firm evaluations and funded accounts, and for traders on their own futures broker account. You might scalp, day trade or hold positions longer; either way, PassTraq works from your own broker account and your own market data.
Is there a free trial?
No. There is a free plan instead. Starter is free forever, with no card and no time limit: one account, the journal, the rules dashboard, CSV import and export, and base analytics. Paid plans start only when you check out through Stripe, and you can cancel any time.
Is there a free prop firm trading journal?
Yes. Starter is free forever — 1 account, journal and playbooks, challenge rules dashboard, CSV import and export, base analytics, payout readiness and report.
No free trial: Starter is free forever, with no card and no time limit. Paid plans start only when you check out through Stripe; cancel any time and you continue on Starter with everything you logged.
Which trading journal is best for prop firm traders?
Pick one that already knows your firm's rulebook: the drawdown model and floor, the daily loss limit and whether it is soft or hard, the consistency rule, and payout readiness — tracked from your trades, not typed into a formula.
PassTraq does that for 23 firm presets, checked Oct 14, 2026, and for any other firm with your own numbers. Check your firm's current rules either way.
Which prop firms are supported?
PassTraq has presets for 23 firms, including Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader, Bulenox, Lucid Trading, Alpha Futures and Earn2Trade, each with its drawdown model, daily loss, target and account sizes, and a consistency rule where the firm publishes one. They were last checked against each firm's own documentation on Oct 14, 2026, so check yours against your firm's current rules. Approximate presets are labelled on PassTraq's firm pages and tools, and where PassTraq has not verified a value it labels it or refuses to calculate rather than guess. Any other firm works as a custom firm with your own numbers. PassTraq is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of any prop firm, CME Group or Rithmic, except where a link is marked as a partner link. See the full list.
Do I need a broker connection?
Not to start. Starter works with CSV imports from Tradovate, Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, MetaTrader 4/5, TradeStation and TopstepX, or trades you log by hand. Apex Trader Funding and AMP Futures accounts on Rithmic can sync fills directly on any plan. Rithmic logins from 14 more prop firms, among them Lucid Trading, Tradeify, Bulenox and Earn2Trade, connect in beta: Rithmic has not yet confirmed PassTraq on those firms' systems, so the first login shows whether it works. On a paid plan PassTraq also keeps your Rithmic login connected, so the Rules HUD reads balance and drawdown straight from the broker; on Starter those numbers are worked out from your trades and labelled as such.
The trading workbench on paid plans does need your own broker connection, because that is where its market data comes from.
Can I copy trades between my prop firm accounts?
Yes, through live routing: a Quant beta you switch on after an explicit live-trading acknowledgement. Copy trades from one evaluation account to your others, each at its own multiplier and protected separately. Sim accounts don't copy. How copy trading works.
Every order is still a click: no keyboard shortcut places an order, and no AI can.
What is Guardian?
Guardian lets you set your own limits, stricter than the firm's. It refuses an order that would break them, and never blocks an exit, a flatten or a cancel.
It is off until you set it, on Trader and up.
Does PassTraq trade for me?
No. Strategies backtest, and on Pro+ you can deploy one in signal, stage or sim mode: signal only notifies you, stage prepares each order for your two clicks in the workbench, and sim sends it on a sim account. Live is not a mode, so nothing runs a strategy against a live account. Finia, the coach inside PassTraq, never places orders. On paid plans you trade a sim account in the workbench by click. Live order routing is a Quant beta that you switch on yourself after an explicit live-trading acknowledgement. No key places an order.
Do you sell market data?
No. PassTraq doesn't sell market data. Plans are market-data neutral: you bring your own broker or Rithmic login, and charts, the DOM, bar replay and backtests run on your own feed. PassTraq never sells your data either.
What can my mentor see?
In a mentor space (Pro and Quant) a mentor sees your accounts, trades, P&L, journal and playbooks, read-only, so they can coach your process and leave notes. They see you under your display name, or the part of your email before the @ if you haven't set one; never your full email address, your billing, your payouts or your prop costs. Shared and public cards carry no P&L or balance amounts.
How does PassTraq help with prop firm payouts?
On every plan, Starter included: payout readiness checked against your firm's payout terms, a printable payout report, and a ledger of what each challenge cost against what it paid.
Will PassTraq help me pass?
It shows you the rules, where you stand against them and your own patterns, while there is still time to act on them. It cannot trade for you and it guarantees nothing; tracked challenges still fail. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
Can I use PassTraq with Claude?
Connect your own Claude — or any app that speaks MCP — to PassTraq by pasting one address and signing in. No API key, and the AI runs on your own subscription. PassTraq runs no AI model of its own.
In Claude, add a custom connector with the address https://passtraq.com/mcp, sign in to PassTraq and allow it. At sign-in you pick the accounts it may read — an account you leave out gets none of its numbers, trades or rules — and when the connection expires: 7, 30 or 90 days. Renewing it needs you. Connecting needs a paid plan (Trader and up); Starter accounts are shown the plans instead.
A connected app can never place, change or cancel an order — PassTraq's order routes refuse its tokens. The most it can do is stage an order you asked for, which only your two clicks send.
What is the tick value of ES and MNQ?
ES (E-mini S&P 500) moves in ticks of 0.25 worth $12.50; one point is $50. MNQ (Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100) moves in ticks of 0.25 worth $0.50.
Every contract PassTraq trades — 26 in all — has its tick size, tick value, point value and front month on its own page, and the free Tick Value Calculator prices any move.
Does PassTraq work for scalping, day trading and swing trading?
Yes. You might scalp, day trade or hold positions longer; either way, PassTraq works from your own broker account and your own market data.
Charts carry time, tick and range bars, volume profile, footprint and order flow, and every trade lands in the same journal.
