Take Profit Trader and Bulenox in brief

Take Profit Trader

One evaluation, the Test, followed by a PRO funded account. The drawdown trails at end of day in the Test and stops trailing at the starting balance. No daily loss limit. A 50% consistency rule raises the goal but never fails the account. Minimum 3 trading days.

Bulenox

A Qualification account in two options. Option 1 trails intraday with no daily loss limit; Option 2 trails at end of day with a soft daily loss limit that pauses the day. Rithmic only. One-time fee, 30 days of access.

How these rules play out

Bulenox's Option 1 plan trails the drawdown intraday: the floor follows the highest balance the account reaches during the session, open profit included, and never moves back down — a winning trade given back before it is closed still lifts it. For example, at Bulenox's Option 1 plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.

On Take Profit Trader and Bulenox's Option 2 plan the drawdown trails at end of day: the floor is recalculated once, from the closing balance, so open profit given back during the session does not raise it — but equity touching the floor during the session still counts. For example, at Take Profit Trader a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $48,000, $2,000 under the start; at Bulenox's Option 2 plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.

On Take Profit Trader the trailing floor stops rising once it reaches breakeven and stays there.

A soft daily loss limit pauses the day instead of failing the account: reach it and open positions are flattened, trading stops until the next session, and the account stays open. Bulenox's Option 2 plan sets it at $1,100 on $50,000. Take Profit Trader and Bulenox's Option 1 plan have no daily loss limit, so a losing day is bounded only by the max drawdown.

Take Profit Trader starts the trading day at 5:00 PM ET (4:00 PM CT) and Bulenox starts the trading day at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT); a daily loss limit counts from that reset, not from midnight.

A consistency rule caps how much of the total profit one day may carry. Take Profit Trader caps any single day at 50% of total profit, so it takes at least 2 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $1,500 of a $3,000 target. Bulenox applies no consistency rule in the evaluation, so one large day can count in full.

Take Profit Trader requires at least 3 trading days before a pass; Bulenox sets no minimum number of days.

On automated trading — a strategy or bot sending the orders — at Take Profit Trader it is not allowed in the evaluation or on a funded account; Bulenox has no written answer on record. Written answers: Take Profit Trader (read ).

Choosing between Take Profit Trader and Bulenox

Take Profit Trader and Bulenox differ on 5 of the evaluation rules compared here: drawdown model, daily loss limit, consistency rule, max drawdown at $50K and minimum trading days. If your trades often run into open profit that you give back before closing them, start with the drawdown: Take Profit Trader trails at end of day, while Bulenox trails intraday or at end of day, depending on the plan. If one or two large days make up most of your profit, the consistency rule sets how fast you can finish: Take Profit Trader caps one day at 50% of total profit; Bulenox has no consistency rule. If you keep trading after a losing morning, look at what the daily loss limit does: Take Profit Trader has no daily loss limit; Bulenox pauses the day at its daily loss limit on some plans and has no limit on others. In dollars at $50K, Take Profit Trader asks for $3,000 of profit with $2,000 of drawdown room, Bulenox for $3,000 with $2,500. To finish in as few sessions as possible, compare the minimum days: Take Profit Trader needs at least 3 trading days, Bulenox sets no minimum.

Once funded, the profit split is 80/20 (PRO) · 90/10 (PRO+) at Take Profit Trader and 100% of the first $10K, then 90/10 at Bulenox. Payout terms — Take Profit Trader: Daily (PRO, once the buffer is reached); Bulenox: Weekly (Wednesdays). Take Profit Trader sells one evaluation model; Bulenox sells 2 plans: Option 1 and Option 2. Each plan carries its own version of the rules above, which is why they are listed plan by plan. If a strategy or bot will send your orders, Take Profit Trader's written answer is not allowed in the evaluation or on a funded account, and Bulenox has no written answer on record.
