Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade in brief
Take Profit Trader
One evaluation, the Test, followed by a PRO funded account. The drawdown trails at end of day in the Test and stops trailing at the starting balance. No daily loss limit. A 50% consistency rule raises the goal but never fails the account. Minimum 3 trading days.
Earn2Trade
Two programs: Gauntlet Mini and Trader Career Path. The drawdown trails at end of day until it reaches the starting balance. The daily loss limit is hard: hitting it fails the evaluation. A 30% consistency rule delays the pass but never fails it. No minimum trading days.
How these rules play out
On Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade the drawdown trails at end of day: the floor is recalculated once, from the closing balance, so open profit given back during the session does not raise it — but equity touching the floor during the session still counts. For example, at Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $48,000, $2,000 under the start.
On Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade the trailing floor stops rising once it reaches breakeven and stays there.
A hard daily loss limit ends the evaluation: one day that loses that much fails the account. Earn2Trade sets it at $1,100 on $50,000. Take Profit Trader has no daily loss limit, so a losing day is bounded only by the max drawdown.
Take Profit Trader starts the trading day at 5:00 PM ET (4:00 PM CT) and Earn2Trade starts the trading day at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT); a daily loss limit counts from that reset, not from midnight.
A consistency rule caps how much of the total profit one day may carry. Take Profit Trader caps any single day at 50% of total profit, so it takes at least 2 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $1,500 of a $3,000 target. Earn2Trade caps any single day at 30% of total profit, so it takes at least 4 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $900 of a $3,000 target.
Take Profit Trader requires at least 3 trading days before a pass; Earn2Trade sets no minimum number of days.
On automated trading — a strategy or bot sending the orders — at Take Profit Trader it is not allowed in the evaluation or on a funded account; Earn2Trade has no written answer on record. Written answers: Take Profit Trader (read ).
Choosing between Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade
Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade differ on 3 of the evaluation rules compared here: daily loss limit, consistency rule and minimum trading days. If one or two large days make up most of your profit, the consistency rule sets how fast you can finish: Take Profit Trader caps one day at 50% of total profit; Earn2Trade caps one day at 30% of total profit. If you keep trading after a losing morning, look at what the daily loss limit does: Take Profit Trader has no daily loss limit; Earn2Trade fails the account at its daily loss limit. To finish in as few sessions as possible, compare the minimum days: Take Profit Trader needs at least 3 trading days, Earn2Trade sets no minimum.
Once funded, the profit split is 80/20 (PRO) · 90/10 (PRO+) at Take Profit Trader and 50% / 80% tiered by withdrawal size at Earn2Trade. Payout terms — Take Profit Trader: Daily (PRO, once the buffer is reached); Earn2Trade: Weekly (Wednesdays). Take Profit Trader sells one evaluation model; Earn2Trade sells 2 plans: Gauntlet Mini and Trader Career Path. Each plan carries its own version of the rules above, which is why they are listed plan by plan. If a strategy or bot will send your orders, Take Profit Trader's written answer is not allowed in the evaluation or on a funded account, and Earn2Trade has no written answer on record.
Read both rule sets against your own average day, then confirm the current terms on Take Profit Trader's site and Earn2Trade's site. PassTraq tracks challenges at both firms using the same rule presets shown here.
