Bulenox and Phidias Propfirm in brief
Bulenox
A Qualification account in two options. Option 1 trails intraday with no daily loss limit; Option 2 trails at end of day with a soft daily loss limit that pauses the day. Rithmic only. One-time fee, 30 days of access.
Phidias Propfirm
Express to Live has a static drawdown that never trails. Fundamental and Premium trail at end of day and do not lock during the evaluation. No daily loss limit and no consistency rule in the evaluation.
How these rules play out
Bulenox's Option 1 plan trails the drawdown intraday: the floor follows the highest balance the account reaches during the session, open profit included, and never moves back down — a winning trade given back before it is closed still lifts it. For example, at Bulenox's Option 1 plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.
On Bulenox's Option 2 plan and Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans the drawdown trails at end of day: the floor is recalculated once, from the closing balance, so open profit given back during the session does not raise it — but equity touching the floor during the session still counts. For example, at Bulenox's Option 2 plan and Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.
Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan uses a static drawdown: the floor is set once, the drawdown below the starting balance, and does not move for the whole evaluation. For example, at Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $49,350, $650 under the start.
On Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans it keeps trailing for the whole evaluation.
A soft daily loss limit pauses the day instead of failing the account: reach it and open positions are flattened, trading stops until the next session, and the account stays open. Bulenox's Option 2 plan sets it at $1,100 on $50,000. Bulenox's Option 1 plan and Phidias Propfirm have no daily loss limit, so a losing day is bounded only by the max drawdown.
Bulenox starts the trading day at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT); a daily loss limit counts from that reset, not from midnight.
A consistency rule caps how much of the total profit one day may carry. Neither Bulenox nor Phidias Propfirm applies a consistency rule in the evaluation, so one large day can count in full toward the target.
Phidias Propfirm requires at least 3 trading days on Fundamental and 1 on Premium before a pass; Bulenox and Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan set no minimum number of days.
Choosing between Bulenox and Phidias Propfirm
Bulenox and Phidias Propfirm differ on 4 of the evaluation rules compared here: drawdown model, daily loss limit, profit target at $50K and minimum trading days. If your trades often run into open profit that you give back before closing them, start with the drawdown: Bulenox trails intraday or at end of day, depending on the plan, while Phidias Propfirm trails at end of day or holds a static floor, depending on the plan. If you keep trading after a losing morning, look at what the daily loss limit does: Bulenox pauses the day at its daily loss limit on some plans and has no limit on others; Phidias Propfirm has no daily loss limit. In dollars at $50K, Bulenox asks for $3,000 of profit with $2,500 of drawdown room, Phidias Propfirm for $4,000 with $2,500. To finish in as few sessions as possible, compare the minimum days: Bulenox sets no minimum, Phidias Propfirm sets no minimum on some plans and up to 3 trading days on others.
Once funded, the profit split is 100% of the first $10K, then 90/10 at Bulenox and 80/20 (Fundamental, Express) · 75→100% progressive (Premium) at Phidias Propfirm. Payout terms — Bulenox: Weekly (Wednesdays); Phidias Propfirm: Fundamental every 10+ days · Premium every 5 days. Bulenox sells 2 plans: Option 1 and Option 2; Phidias Propfirm sells 3 plans: Fundamental, Premium and Express to Live. Each plan carries its own version of the rules above, which is why they are listed plan by plan.
