Lucid Trading and Phidias Propfirm in brief

Lucid Trading

Four plans: LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect. Every plan trails at end of day and locks at the initial balance plus $100; the LucidDaily evaluation is also sold with intraday trailing. Every daily loss limit is soft, a "soft breach" that does not fail the account.

Phidias Propfirm

Express to Live has a static drawdown that never trails. Fundamental and Premium trail at end of day and do not lock during the evaluation. No daily loss limit and no consistency rule in the evaluation.

How these rules play out

Lucid Trading's LucidDaily (intraday eval) plan trails the drawdown intraday: the floor follows the highest balance the account reaches during the session, open profit included, and never moves back down — a winning trade given back before it is closed still lifts it. For example, at Lucid Trading's LucidDaily (intraday eval) plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $48,000, $2,000 under the start.

On Lucid Trading's LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily (EOD eval) and LucidDirect plans and Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans the drawdown trails at end of day: the floor is recalculated once, from the closing balance, so open profit given back during the session does not raise it — but equity touching the floor during the session still counts. For example, at Lucid Trading's LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily (EOD eval) and LucidDirect plans a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $48,000, $2,000 under the start; at Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $47,500, $2,500 under the start.

Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan uses a static drawdown: the floor is set once, the drawdown below the starting balance, and does not move for the whole evaluation. For example, at Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan a $50,000 account starts with its floor at $49,350, $650 under the start.

On Lucid Trading's LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily (EOD eval) and LucidDirect plans the trailing floor stops rising once it reaches breakeven and stays there. On Phidias Propfirm's Fundamental and Premium plans it keeps trailing for the whole evaluation.

A soft daily loss limit pauses the day instead of failing the account: reach it and open positions are flattened, trading stops until the next session, and the account stays open. Lucid Trading's LucidPro, LucidDaily (EOD eval), LucidDaily (intraday eval) and LucidDirect plans set it at $1,200 on $50,000. Lucid Trading's LucidFlex plan and Phidias Propfirm have no daily loss limit, so a losing day is bounded only by the max drawdown.

Lucid Trading starts the trading day at 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CT); a daily loss limit counts from that reset, not from midnight.

A consistency rule caps how much of the total profit one day may carry. Lucid Trading's LucidFlex plan caps any single day at 40% of total profit, so it takes at least 3 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $1,200 of a $3,000 target. Lucid Trading's LucidDaily (EOD eval) and LucidDaily (intraday eval) plans cap any single day at 50% of total profit, so it takes at least 2 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $1,500 of a $3,000 target. Lucid Trading's LucidDirect plan caps any single day at 20% of total profit, so it takes at least 5 profitable days to finish inside the rule. One day may then carry at most $600 of a $3,000 target. Lucid Trading's LucidPro plan and Phidias Propfirm apply no consistency rule in the evaluation, so one large day can count in full.

Phidias Propfirm requires at least 3 trading days on Fundamental and 1 on Premium before a pass; Phidias Propfirm's Express to Live plan sets no minimum number of days.

On automated trading — a strategy or bot sending the orders — at Lucid Trading it is allowed in the evaluation and on a funded account; Phidias Propfirm has no written answer on record. Written answers: Lucid Trading (read ).

Choosing between Lucid Trading and Phidias Propfirm

Lucid Trading and Phidias Propfirm differ on 6 of the evaluation rules compared here: drawdown model, trailing floor, daily loss limit, consistency rule, max drawdown at $50K and profit target at $50K. If your trades often run into open profit that you give back before closing them, start with the drawdown: Lucid Trading trails intraday or at end of day, depending on the plan, while Phidias Propfirm trails at end of day or holds a static floor, depending on the plan. If one or two large days make up most of your profit, the consistency rule sets how fast you can finish: Lucid Trading caps one day at 20–50% of total profit on some plans and has no cap on others; Phidias Propfirm has no consistency rule. If you keep trading after a losing morning, look at what the daily loss limit does: Lucid Trading pauses the day at its daily loss limit on some plans and has no limit on others; Phidias Propfirm has no daily loss limit. In dollars at $50K, Lucid Trading asks for $3,000 of profit with $2,000 of drawdown room, Phidias Propfirm for $4,000 with $2,500.
